Kids Lego Printing Workshop

The workshop is suitable for age 3+ (we will adapt to ages)

This workshop is with Marie. Booking is essential.

In this workshop we will be having fun learning to print with Lego.

Darren started printing with our youngest (then nearly 2 year old) sons Duplo whilst experimenting with print in 2016-17 for his MA in Graphic Design and soon moved into Lego too! The inky Duplo and Lego in our studio is one of the first things kids point out when coming in with their parents. We've been running these workshops since 2018.

Using Lego, ink, brayers and our printing presses (some are over 100 years old!) you'll create your own designs and print them as many times as you like and take your creations home. Experimenting with different colours, overlays and different textures as well as making stamps from lego too. 

We provide all materials. The ink we use for this workshop is washable however please wear suitable clothing as it may stain fabrics, we will provide aprons but advise to roll up sleeves.

You must accompany your child at all times.

These workshops take place in either our studio, The Round Tower, Old Portsmouth or Southsea Common. Please check which you have booked for before travelling!

• Workshops are non refundable

• The Hotwalls Studios are wheelchair friendly

• There are public toilets including an accessible toilet situated at the Hotwalls Studios. There are no toilets within our studio

• The Hotwalls Studios and Round Tower postcode is PO1 2FS

• There is limited, free one hour on road parking as well as payable metered parking. There are also areas to lock up your bike(s). The Hotwalls Studios has good transport links too – If you have any questions about how to get to us please email us

• Children must be accompanied at all times. You are responsible for your own child/children

• We are a working print studio and open to the public

• We are part of the Pompey Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme

• Children's Workshops: We would like to point out that no photos will be taken at the workshop without express permission of the parents/guardians. No photos/video are to be taken and/or shared on social media platforms unless they are of your own child only and do not include others.
